Our Doctors at Tabeguache Family and Sports Medicine have all obtained additional qualifications in addition to the standard requirements for traditional family practice doctors. This additional schooling allows our team to offer more complete comprehensive care and in-house treatment options to all of our families, preventing increased costs and visits to multiple specialists. Dr. Karen Frye, D.O.
Dr. Frye is certified by the Board of Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. Her interests include injury and illness prevention, wellness and nutrition. Dr. Frye enjoys working with patients of all ages with a particular interest in health concerns facing female athletes at all stages in life. She is an avid runner and soccer player, and enjoys cycling, snowboarding and hiking with her dogs.
Dr. Fletcher Colwell, M.D.
Dr. Colwell is Certified by the Board of Family Medicine with a certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. His interests include non-surgical musculoskeletal medicine, wellness and injury prevention. His goal is to return patients to their active and healthy lifestyles while maximizing their abilities. He shares time between work and family to mountain bike and ski.
Dr. Dan Sullivan, M.D.
Dr. Sullivan is certified by the Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing in Grand junction since 1992. After studying music at CU Boulder, he attended medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed his residency in Spokane , with the University of Washington . Dr. Sullivan grew up in Grand Junction and is proud to serve the Grand Valley and to call it his home. His interests include preventative patient care, behavioral health integration, and team based care management. He is an avid fly fisherman, and enjoys cycling and skiing.
Ashly Blincow, MS, RN, FNP-C
Ashly is certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Previously, she has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Instructor for the adult clinic side at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She is particularly interested in preventative, holistic healthcare of people's minds and bodies through creative, evidence-based therapies domestically and internationally. She enjoys regularly learning new ways to use her mind and body and especially enjoys hiking, yoga, muay thai, canoeing, and reading.
Sherry Woods, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, BBA
Sherry Woods joined Tabeguache Family & Sports Medicine in 2019 after graduating from Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Colorado with a MSN in 2018.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner Sherry worked as an Interim Perioperative Educator, Surgery Charge Nurse and Surgical Specialty Coordinator in Orthopedics/Dental at St. Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center. She also has worked as a Clinical Case Manager at Hopewest & Hospice Palliative Care; and as a Home Health Skilled Nurse/Triage and Case at Manager Rocky Mountain Health Plans Home Health. Other positions she has held in the Grand Junction area include: Clinical Operations Specialist, National Clinical Case Manager and Outreach Coordinator Marketing at Nuclear Care Partners; Director of Surgical Services, Surgical Circulating Nurse and Pain Management Nurse at Family Health West Hospital; and Surgical Circulating Nurse and Neuro Preceptor at St. Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center.
